In a restaurant or café, the table, kitchen and POS are tied to one order. A hotel needs room occupancy, the guest bill and guest data: part of this exists in Odoo, and part is covered by an industry package or an external system. We say so openly.
Odoo has a ready-made POS app for restaurants and cafés, described on a separate page. A hotel is a different scope: we write about it openly below.
Dining room and tables, kitchen, POS, inventory, expiry dates and multiple branches. Restaurants and cafés page →
Room occupancy, guest bill, online booking and Uzbekistan's requirements; a dedicated hotel app (PMS) is not described in Odoo's documentation. Below, on this page →
The main app for a restaurant or café is Point of Sale (Restaurant mode). Tables are drawn on the floor plan, tables are merged for a large party, and the status of each table (occupied, reserved, in the kitchen) is visible in real time. The order goes to the kitchen through a printer or a screen. Dishes are split into courses, the bill is split, and tips are added. A customer can place an order themselves through a QR menu; in Odoo 20, an order-specific QR code is also printed for paying after the meal. To reserve a table in advance, Booking is enabled or the Appointments app is used. Different taxes can be set for dining in and takeaway.
The Odoo 20 release notes say that a service charge, temporarily hiding a dish from the menu (snooze) and a customer note on the kitchen display have been added.
Odoo's official documentation section (Applications) describes no dedicated app for hotels (PMS). But Odoo publishes “Hotel” and “Guest House” industry packages on its own website. The Odoo 19 release notes say that a new industry package for hotels has appeared, and that in Odoo 20 the hospitality packages gained housekeeping, early check-in and late check-out, seasonal pricing and adding the bar and restaurant bill to the final invoice. We check the package's scope, edition and hosting requirement at the diagnostic.
Occupancy can also be handled with the standard apps. In the Rental app, a room is a “physical service” product: each room is recorded in the Planning app as a material, the room type (for example, “Deluxe”) is linked to a role, and Rental and Planning check occupancy together. According to Odoo's documentation, for places such as a hotel room, pickup serves as check-in and return serves as check-out. The minimum quantity in a pricing rule is calculated by the rental period (for example, by the number of nights). Online booking requires the Website and eCommerce apps (this is how the Rental documentation puts it). Rental and Planning are part of Enterprise.
The Hotel Management category in Apps Store has third-party PMS modules (17 in the Odoo 20 row, as of 25 October 2026). They cannot be installed on Odoo Online and require Odoo.sh or your own server; the quality and updates are checked for each module separately.
The restaurant's POS side is in a ready-made app. In a hotel, everything other than occupancy is most often handled by an industry package, an external module or custom work. The data follows the Odoo 19 and 20 documentation and release notes; if your version differs, we check it at the diagnostic.

The items below have been checked against official sources. Those that apply to your type of venue, we list in writing at the diagnostic.
Reports are not copied into a separate spreadsheet: they are generated from session, order and rental documents in this same database.
This list speeds up the diagnostic. We can start even if not everything is ready.
Odoo's official documentation section describes no dedicated hotel app. Odoo publishes “Hotel” and “Guest House” industry packages on its own website, and its release notes describe a hotel package (Odoo 19) and its extension (Odoo 20). We check the package's scope and edition at the diagnostic. Occupancy can also be handled with the standard apps (Rental, Planning).
A room is a “physical service” product in Rental and a material in Planning; the room type is recorded as a role. According to the documentation, for such places pickup equals check-in and return equals check-out. We check the procedure for preventing overbooking on a test database. Rental and Planning are part of Enterprise.
Odoo's documentation does not mention a connection to E-mehmon. The regulation requires data to be entered at the moment the guest arrives, so the entry procedure or an integration is decided at the diagnostic.
This kind of connection is not described in the Odoo documentation. Third-party modules or a separate integration are possible; each option is assessed individually, and third-party modules cannot be installed in Odoo Online.
Odoo POS handles orders, tables and payment, but the fiscal receipt is issued by cash register equipment from the official register. The new wording of clause 4 of Resolution No. 943 restricts secondary accounting systems; we will obtain written confirmation from the tax authority on whether the Odoo POS falls under this clause. Odoo Online is not compatible with third-party and custom modules. If you need a hotel module, E-mehmon (the foreign guest registration system) or a payment connection, Odoo.sh or your own server is chosen. Hosting types →
The Odoo license depends on the number of users and apps (terms are on odoo.com). The scope of BUline’s services depends on the number of rooms and tables, branches, apps, customization, integrations, data volume and training. The exact cost and timeline are given in a written proposal after the free diagnostic.
During the diagnostic, we review your processes and tell you where standard Odoo is enough and where configuration is needed — with an app list, edition and phases.
